After the year 2024, water-need is thought of as the most important global concern due to the depletion of water consumption and utilization. There are numerous reasons why providing sustainable water becomes ever more important – the world population is increasing and the climate change is making water scarcer.
Another problem causing degradation is the unequal allocation of water among the states. Thus, there are a number of countries in Africa and the Middle East where there is scarcity of water which is a life necessity for many people. All these shortages of the water have a very seriously impact on the health, the economy and the society; it also underlines that in order to tackle these issues, there is a need to cooperate internationally and find other solutions for the better management of the water.
Climate change further aggravates the problem of water scarcity because it makes the water cycle unpredictable and unpredictable with extreme weather events. In addition, droughts, floods and melting of glaciers alter the availability of water in traditional source points which makes the provision of water burdensome for the communities. Thus, they are critical to the infrastructure that is flexible and robust enough to adapt to such negative effects.
Water demand management is critical for the agriculture sector which relies on fresh water as the biggest user. Ensuring that farmers are innovative in their agriculture practices by utilizing farming methods like drip irrigation and crop rotation would also help in reducing water use. Furthermore, the participants stated that there is no need to promote measures to save water at the household level. An easy way to achieve this is through simple steps such as using hot water-saves, mending the leakage pipes, and adopting a water-saving mentality.
